The Washougal River (North and West Forks) is in Washington. Downstream, the river continues as the Washougal River (above County Line access).
Summer steelhead are the main catch here. Anglers reported an average of about 50 harvested summer steelhead a year from 2004 to 2022. The best months are June and July, and the catch peaks in June. Winter steelhead average about 12 a year and peak in January. Chinook average about 4 a year and peak in August. These figures count harvested fish only, not fish caught and released. Washington catch figures follow the WDFW report year, which runs from April to March.
