The John Day Arm is in Oregon, near Rufus. It flows into the Columbia River (John Day Dam to McNary Dam).

Steelhead are the main catch here. Anglers reported an average of about 220 harvested steelhead a year from 2007 to 2024. The best months are October and November, and the catch peaks in November. Smaller numbers of Chinook and coho are also reported. These figures count harvested fish only, not fish caught and released.
